A Great Weekend at Whittington

What a fantastic weekend we had at Whittington over the bank holiday! The sunshine surprised us all and made for a beautiful riverside walk into Kirkby Lonsdale. On Sunday, we had the perfect chance to catch up after the summer break; and as always, everyone embraced the fun and the madness.

Our whacky NELDA games didn’t disappoint. Phil dominated in the bottle race but was just pipped to the rolling pin victory by Alan. Gary showed his skill with a winning hand at Higher or Lower, and the men came out on top in the quizzes.

The food was just as much a highlight; sausages, burgers, and lots of delicious extras went down a treat. A big thank you goes to everyone who chipped in with cooking, prepping, fetching, carrying, and all the little jobs that made the weekend run so smoothly.

Most of all, it was simply wonderful to catch up with everyone again. We’re already looking forward to the next get-together, planning the next socials has already begun!
